If you apply to the college where your parents went and you get admitted, then you are called a legacy child.
You are considered good in high school and university. They are legacy kids. They get things easily because their parents have worked hard for it so that they can get things easily. I am an outsider in this industry. The doors that open for me may not open for them. And perhaps I will have to work very hard for the many doors that open for them. But I would like my children to get the opportunities I have worked hard for. May my children eat the fruits of the hard work I have done.”
