The actors from the TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat are engaged. They played the characters of Babita Krishnan Iyer and Jethalal’s son Tapu respectively. According to a new portal, these actors officially engaged with each other earlier this month in the presence of their family members.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a very popular TV show. Munmun and Raj both were working on this show. Munmun played the role of Babita Krishnan and Raj played the Character of Dilip Joshi’s son Tappu in the show. 

According to the reports from sources the couple has been dating since Raj joined the Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah show in 2017. The news of Raj and Munmun’s relationship was first published in the September of 2021. But after publishing the news Munmun and Raj both were denied about their relationship. From the time of publishing the news of their relationship for the first time, people always thought that Munmun and Raj would get married eventually. So, the news that Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat are engaged is not shocking to audiences. 

Raj and Mummun’s presence in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat are engaged and they played vital characters. Munmun has been playing an integral role in the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah TV show. In the show, her character’s name is Babita who is a Bengali woman by birth but she is married to a South Indian man. In the TV show, her husband is a scientist.

On the other hand, Raj Anadkat came to the show in 2017. Raj came to the show as Tappu who is Jethalal Gada’s son. Before Raj, the character of Tapu was played by Bhavya Gandhi. He was replaced by Raj but Raj quit the show in December 2022. 

The age gap between Munmun and Raj and their previous statements

It is a controversial topic that Munmun is older than Raj. Munmun’s age is 36 and Raj is 27. After the age gap of 9 years both of the family members from Munmun and Raj accept their relationship. In the early days when their relationship was revealed for the first time, they denied it and wrote something claiming that it was fake news. 

Raj wrote about addressing the rumours in his Instagram “To everyone, who has been constantly writing about me, THINK of the repercussions that can happen in my life because of your ‘COOKED UP’ (false) stories and that too about my life without my consent. All the creative people out there please channelise your creativity somewhere else it will be helpful to you. May God bless them with good sense”.

Munmun also claimed it was not true about their relationship and wrote “ To the media and their zero credibility ‘journos’, who has given you the right to post ‘imaginary’ ‘made up’ articles in people’s name about their private life without their consent? Are you liable for the damage that you cause to their lives with your reckless behaviour? You don’t stop at shoving your cameras on the face of a grieving woman who just lost her love or lost her son, in a funeral, just for your TRPs. You can stoop to any level to create sensational articles/headlines at the cost of someone’s dignity, but are you going to take responsibility for wreaking havoc in their lives?? If no then, you should be ashamed of yourself!!”

So, Now it is not a rumor that Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat are engaged.
