These days lots of celebrities are facing the problem of deepfake. A fake video of Ranveer Singh also goes viral after the fake video of Aamir Khan. Just like Aamir Khan’s video, the fake video of Ranveer Singh also promoted a political party before the Lok Sabha election. This video of Ranveer Singh is suspected to be made by Deepfake Technology. Deep fake is an artificial intelligence technology that has become very popular. 

When Aamir Khan’s video went viral the team from Aamir Khan’s office launched a police complaint under the Maharashtra Police. Just like the previous case fake video of Ranveer Singh also promoting a political party for the Indian Lok Sabha elections. Ranveer Singh is also promoting Indian National Congress in his fake video and criticizing PM Narendra Modi.

What is the fact behind the Fake video of Ranveer Singh?

In the viral video clip of Ranveer Singh the actor is commenting about PM Narendra Modi in a conversation with a famous news agency. The actor is saying in the fake video “This is Modi ji’s purpose. He aimed to celebrate our sad lives, our fears, our unemployment, and inflation. India is heading towards an era of injustice at a rapid pace, but we should never forget to ask for our development and our justice. That’s why think before you cast your vote.” The video ends with a promotional message stating, “Vote for justice, vote for Congress”.

This video is completely fake and made to manipulate people for elections. Several people have seen the video and shared it. Inc spoke person Sujata Pal shared the video and also stated that the video was a deep fake video.

Source of the original video

The fake video of Ranveer Singh was taken from an event in Varanasi which was held a few days before. Ranveer Singh went to Varanasi to promote the Banarasi saree in a fashion show organized by designer Manish Malhotra. After the fashion show, Ranveer Singh went for Kashi Vishwanath darshan and interviewed for a new channel. In the original video, Ranveer Singh said “This makes me so happy… This was Modi ji’s purpose. He aimed to celebrate our rich cultural heritage, our history, and our legacy. Now as India is heading towards modernity at a rapid pace, we should never forget our roots and our cultural heritage”. 

However, the video was edited by Deep Fake, and added new audio in the previous video. The original version of the video was 2 minutes 33 seconds long whereas the fake version of the video is around 1 minute 51 seconds. Ranveer Singh neither promoted any political party never criticized anyone in the original version of the video.
