Famous director SS Rajamouli announced his new animated series Baahubali Crown of Blood on 30th April 2024, Tuesday. Previously the filmmaker SS Rajamouli made two parts of Baahubali movies. SS Rajamouli made plans very early to launch a new animated series of Bahubali after the success of the films. The Epic movie franchise Baahubali’s two parts previously Made record breaking success at the box office in India and internationally. Till now this franchise movie counted among the highest grossing movie lists.
On 30th April 2024, SS Rajamouli announced a new animated series from the Baahubali universe with the title Baahubali Crown of Blood on his social media account. According to the sources, this new series will be streaming on the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform. The premiere date is still not announced officially but it is expected that the new series will come from the second week of May 2024.

SS Rajamouli announced the upcoming animated series Baahubali Crown of Blood on his official Twitter account. The director announced this news with the caption “When the people of Mahishmati chant his name, no force in the universe can stop him from returning. Baahubali: Crown of Blood, an animated series trailer, arrives soon!”. He also mentioned in that post that the trailer from the new animated series will drop very soon. After watching that post the fans of Baahubali are eagerly waiting to watch the new trailer from this animated series.
In the Video shared by Rajamouli, the title rises from smoke and people chant the name of Bahubali.
It is not the first animated series from the Bahubali Universe:
Baahubali Crown of Blood Is not the first animated series from the Baahubali universe. SS Rajamouli released a 4 episode animated series of Bahubali with the title Baahubali: The Lost Legends. This series was released in 2017 and it was streamed on Amazon Prime Video. The two parts from the Bahubali movies were super hit all over the world. After the success of these movies, the writer Anand Neelakanta wrote a book named ‘The Rise of Shivgami’.
After releasing this book, it was supposed a new live action series would come based upon the story from this book with the title ‘Baahubali: Before the Beginning’. But after starting the shooting for some episodes, Netflix stalled the project. But now people are very happy to know the official update from SS Rajamouli about the upcoming animated series.
