The next film of Shoojit Sircar locks its release date and says its story

Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar announced his upcoming movie on 8th May, 2024 Wednesday. The next film of Shoojit Sircar will hit the theatres on 15th November 2024. 

He announced on the 9th anniversary of his most discussed film Piku. Piku was a film with a heartwarming story about relationships between a father and daughter. 

His upcoming movie is also based on father daughter relationships. He is a very popular director from the Bollywood industry and also a national award winner director. 

Shoojit Sircar is known for his famous movies like Vicky Donor”, “October”, and “Udham Singh”. The director featured Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in his movie Piku. As Piku was also a story about the relationship between father and daughter it is very much clear that the director is obsessed with father daughter relationships.

He also said that father daughter relationships hold a special place in his heart and for this reason, he will again explore this bond in his upcoming movie. 

Next film of Shoojit Sircar with Abhishek Bachchan 

The next film of Shoojit Sircar will feature Abhishek Bachchan as the father’s character. This is the first time that Shoojit and Abhishek will work together. From the Instagram handle of Shoojit Sircar people come to know that he will feature Abhishek Bachchan the son of Amitabh Bachchan in his upcoming movie.

The director shared a video where Abhishek Bachchan was sitting with a little girl on a bench. There is a mountain and lake in the background. The video features the busy life of a metro city where Abhishek Bachchan was talking on the phone.

It gives hints that the next film of Shoojit Sircar will also be a story from where the viewers will get a message. 

What Shoojit Sircar said about his upcoming movie

The upcoming film of Shoojit Sircar will be very special for the director. When he was asked about his upcoming movie and its story he said, “The father-daughter relationships special. They have their own set of awkwardness & challenges. Also, I feel it’s one of the least discussed or represented relationships, which has a lot of scope for beautiful stories. 

‘Piku’ was one such story with which I could immediately connect and I could present it with so much.  Likewise, my next also revolves around a sweet bond between a father and daughter and makes you travel with their emotional journey & we are ready to bring this heartwarming story in front of audiences globally in theatres on November 15th, 2024.”

The previous movie of Shoojit Sircar has already proved his strong capability as a storyteller. Recently his movie Piku celebrated its 9th anniversary. The film also featured the late actor Irfan Khan and the story was written by Juhi Chaturvedi.
