Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan will reunite for a horror comedy movie

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan will reunite again for a horror fantasy movie after 14 years. The duo is very popular because they worked together on Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa movies. The director confirms in an interview that he will work with Akshay Kumar again for a horror fantasy movie with a touch of humour. The upcoming project will be backed by Ekta Kapoor. Once this director and actor duo made history at the box office. 

The movies by director Priyadarshan Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiya now turned into franchise movies. He suggested that the upcoming movie with Akshay Kumar will be a fresh story and based upon the earlier superstition of India.

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan will work with a new plot of Horror

Previously Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan worked together in some films like Bhool Bhulaiya, Hera Pheri, De Dana Dan, And Bhagam Bhag. All the movies collected huge amounts from the box office. Among them Bhool Bhulaiya was a psychological thriller horror and others were comedy movies. The director Priyadarshan revealed that he will work with horror fantasy for the collaboration with Akshay Kumar after 14 years. 

When he asked about the basic difference between the storyline of his upcoming project with Bhool Bhulaiya he answered “That was a psychological thriller, but this one will be fantasy, in the backdrop of magic, the oldest superstition of India. It is always a pleasure collaborating with Akshay. From our first film, to this one, it has always turned out well with him, he handles the emotions so well. I was waiting for a good subject to get back with him, and this one I feel will be that”.

The director Priyadarshan talks about his upcoming movie and ongoing project 

Now the director Priyadarshan is very busy with his ongoing project. He revealed that now he is working on a documentary based on the history of Ram Mandir. After its completion, he will start his work with Akshay Kumar in the new horror fantasy movie. She is very excited to work with Akshay Kumar again and share his feelings. Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan will work again in a horror comedy movie but the director will never take it as a sequel because he doesn’t like sequel movies. 

Telling about sequel movies the director shared his thoughts like this “The first one is always the best, like Hera Pheri. It will always be good; you can make whatever second or third parts. People will always say they liked the original. In sequels, makers exploit the success of that market. There’s nothing wrong in doing that. The world over people makes sequels. Terminator 2 was bigger than Terminator 1, the former was made by another director. I, somehow, don’t like to do sequels”.
