Tamannaah summons by Mumbai Police For illegal IPL live streaming

South Indian actress Tamannaah summons by Mumbai Police For illegal live streaming of the 2023 IPL cricket match. The cyber crime department of Mumbai Police Issued a summons to the actress Tamannah Bhatia before the court. According to the Cybercrime Department of Mumbai Police Tamannah Bhatia has a connection with the illegal live streaming of 2023 IPL cricket on Fire Play. 

The actress has been asked to appear in court before the hearing on 29th April 2024. Maharashtra Police cyber department summons Tamanna for questioning about the illegal live streaming IPL season 16 cricket match on Fire play. 

Tamannaah summons by Mumbai Police causing a loss of crores

In September 2023 an FIR was filed after Viacom18. The company claimed that they owned the rights to live stream IPL matches but the Fire Play platform was illegally streaming IPL matches on their platform. As a result of this case, Viacom18 had faced a loss of 100 crores rupees. The Viacom18 platform also claimed that Tamannaaah Bhatia promoted the Viacom18 platform nationally. 

Another actor summoned for the same case

After getting The FIR Mumbai Police started to investigate this case and they summoned some actors. Before Tamannah Bhatia, the cybercrime department of Maharashtra Police summoned Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt for questioning. Jacqueline Fernandez and rapper Badshah were also summoned by Mumbai Police for the same case. However, Sanjay Dutt cannot attend his hearing date because of his busy schedule. He asked for the next date and some time from the police because he was abroad for his hearing date.

Maharashtra cyber cell has already recorded the statement from the managers of Badshah, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sanjay Dutt. Tamannaah summons by Mumbai Police for promoting the betting app. Several investigating Agencies are investigating illegal trading and betting apps.
