Fake video of Aamir Khan is under a police case: know the facts

A video of bollywood actor Aamir Khan is becoming viral on social media. This video is made by the technology Deep Fake. So, the fake video of Aamir Khan is under a police case.

The Mumbai police registered a case against an unidentified person who has a connection with the deep fake video. In that fake video of Aamir Khan, the actor is promoting the Congress party and criticising PM Narendra Modi.

A few days before, the Lok Sabha election the video became very viral among people. The actor is seen criticizing Narendra Modi’s old statement and campaign for Congress. 

After becoming viral a complaint was lodged at the Khar police station by the office of Aamir Khan. Based on that complaint the case of registered under the proper section of the Indian penal code and cybercrime. This incident of official complaints happened on 17th April, Wednesday.

What was in the fake video of Aamir Khan?

The fake video of Aamir was 30 seconds in duration where Narendra Modi’s old statement of 15 lakh rupees would come to the bank account of all Indians and this was criticized by Bollywood actor Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan is saying in that video – Friends, if you think that India is a poor country then you are wrong because every citizen here is a millionaire. Did you say everyone should have at least 15 lakhs? If you don’t have this amount then where did your 15 lakh rupees go? Beware of the Jumlebajos, or you will be harmed.

Many congress supporters shared that video from their social media accounts. It was shared by Harish Meena. Not only Harish but also Nishant Agarwal the activist of the Indian Youth Congress also shared the video. 

After investigating it was found that the video was deep fake. In that video fake AI voice tone has been added separately. Popular congress worker Rajeev Ghute also shared it on Facebook.

Reality revealed after investigation 

After taking the complaint of fake video of Aamir Khan the police department examined it and it was found that a fake voice had been placed with the help of Artificial Intelligence. 

The video is from the campaign when Aamir Khan was promoting an episode of Satyamev Jayate. The original video was uploaded on 30th August 2016. It was the promo of Satyamev Jayate episode 4. 

In the original version of the video actor Aamir Khan is mentioning every Indian deserves 1 crore, not 15 lakhs. Even he is not seen supporting any party in the original video.  

Reaction to this fake video of Aamir Khan 

A person from Aamir Khan’s office reacted officially about the deep fake video. He also said “We want to make it clear that Aamir Khan has not campaigned for any political party in his 35-year career. He has been dedicated to spreading awareness through public awareness campaigns of the Election Commission for many elections in the past.”

The actor Aamir Khan urges Indian citizens to vote by their choice and actively participate in the election process. But he never mentioned any political party.
